1. Who we are

AzarTech ("we," "us," or "our") operates azartech.net, an AI-powered resume and cover letter generation service. Our contact address is azarglobal@azartech.net.

2. Information we collect

Information you provide directly

• Email address and password when you create an account
• Job descriptions you paste or upload
• Your professional background, work history, and resume content
• Payment information — processed by Stripe, we never see your card number

Information collected automatically

• IP address and general location (country/region level)
• Browser type and operating system
• Pages visited and features used within the app
• Date and time of requests

3. How we use your information

• To generate your tailored resume and cover letter using AI
• To create and manage your account
• To process payments and manage your subscription
• To save your generation history so you can re-download documents
• To send transactional emails — receipts, account confirmations
• To improve our service and fix technical issues
• To comply with legal obligations

We do not use your resume content or job descriptions to train AI models. We do not send marketing emails without your explicit consent.

4. AI processing

Your job description and background information are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate your resume and cover letter. This transmission is encrypted in transit. Anthropic's data handling is governed by their privacy policy. We do not use your content to fine-tune or retrain any AI model.

5. Data storage and security

• Account data is stored in Cloudflare KV (key-value store) in encrypted form
• Generated documents (DOCX files) are stored in Cloudflare R2 object storage
• Passwords are hashed using PBKDF2 with SHA-256 — we cannot recover your password
• All data transmission uses TLS 1.2 or higher encryption
• Generated documents are accessible only to the account that created them

6. Data retention

• Account data is retained while your account is active
• Generation history is kept for up to 12 months and limited to your last 50 documents
• If you delete your account, all your data is permanently deleted within 30 days
• Payment records are retained for 7 years as required by tax law

7. Third-party services

• Stripe — payment processing. Stripe handles all card data. View their privacy policy.
• Anthropic Claude API — AI generation. View their privacy policy.
• Cloudflare — infrastructure, CDN, and storage. View their privacy policy.

8. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
• Correction — request correction of inaccurate data
• Deletion — request deletion of your account and all associated data
• Portability — request your data in a machine-readable format
• Objection — object to certain types of processing
• Withdrawal of consent — withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent

9. Cookies

AzarTech uses minimal storage. We use localStorage (not cookies) to save your accessibility preferences (high contrast, large text, reduce motion) and your login token. We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels. We do not use Google Analytics or similar tracking services.

10. Children's privacy

AzarTech is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email and by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
